Default Cold Air Intake with a choke Works

I'm aware there has been much discussion about cold air intakes on this forum and wanted to show you guys the air intake on my cart.
First things first, I didn't fab this, it came on my cart (so I'm not taking credit for the build).

Basically the intake is just a PVC tube with an air filter on the end.
Inside the PVC tube is a butterfly flapper that is held open by a spring attached to the handle of the battery. The flapper is closed by a spring loaded wire that you would pull (the wire is pulled in the opposite direction of the spring holding it open) near the gear shift to achieve choking the air to the engine.

It's a fairly easy setup and works pretty good.
I wouldn't say it gives the cart more top end, but it does feel like it pulls harder than a normal cart.
The Carb wasn't dialed in when I bought it, so runs very rich and does backfire. It also makes the engine louder (the same if you were to put an intake on your car).

I'm terrible at explaining things. If you have any questions I'll do my best to answer them.

I'm looking to return back to the stock setup if anyone wants to trade?

Default Re: Cold Air Intake with a choke Works

Uni filter is a good small engine free flowing air filter.
It's louder as now you hear the air sucking in with that setup.
Does the same thing on mini bikes when we replace the stock air box setup.
It usually increases top end and maybe loose a lil low end torque
That setup is a choke setup as club cars seem to need to be choked most of the time, nice setup.
It's probably running lean and not rich if it's poppin.
