That would do it! It's actually a "pulse" line, back & forth between pressure and vacuum as the piston travels. Those pulses are what moves the fuel pump diaphragm.

I use 1/4" fuel line. It has some oil exposure at the crankcase end & I feel the fuel line is a bit more durable than regular vacuum line.
