Default DS - No gas to motor

I have a club car ds in the shop. It came in because it wouldn't turn over. Put a new starter/generator on it and solved that problem, but it won't start.

First thing I checked was spark. GOOD
Second thing I checked was fuel pump. GOOD
Third thing I pulled plug and no evidence of fuel.
Forth thing I figured carb is stopped up so I replaced carb with new one.
Still nothing.

Pull new carb to check bowl. Bowl has fuel

Pulled plug and turned over with finger in hole. Blows my finger out of hole.

Then I stick my finger in the intake hole and turn over.....valve is moving.

So why is this thing not getting fuel to the cylinder??????

Pull the valve cover off and make sure valves are opening especially intake valve

Replace the vacuum line going to motor. Then the other 2 one at a time if needed.

Replaced the vacuum line going from carb to valve cover. Removed valve cover and both rocker arms are moving up and down.

I am not getting any suction from the intake side. Actually just the opposite. It is pushing air out. If you put your hand over the intake tube it blows air out and also sprays a little fuel.

which engine is this ??

did you check what compression you are getting ?? ~155 psi with gauge

can do an old timer trick, pull plug, put in a teaspoon of fuel, put plug back it, see if it fires ??

i would check the gaskets/ seal on carburetor and manifolds. if they are leaking then the engine will suck in AIR vs FUEL. could be stuck carb needle, but it is a new carb. one way we checked leaking gaskets on the antique was have someone crank engine and you can spraya light oil. starter fluid around the gasket, see if it sucks it in. or if you have a was to produce smoke, see if it gets sucked in around manifold, carb, etc. !do not saturate the engine with a flammable liquid, that would be disastrous !

found a leaky intake gasket on a car, as it would run rough, but when we mist around the intake gasket it would smooth out, found out gasket was not seated properly !!

It is the FE350.

Could it be the starter is turning the wrong direction? The one I put on it says bi dir. If this is the case I need to figure out how to make it turn the opposite direction.

Which way is it turning? That should be turning clockwise (looking at it from the clutch side). Normally they even have a small label on the shroud, near the oil tube, with an arrow showing the direction it should be turning.

It was the starter turning counter clockwise. Reversed to clockwise and fired right up.
