Default 90 ds fuel issue

Have an issue when my cart starts. Have to pump the pedal a lot. Once cart is warm it's not an issue. Vacuum lines are good. Pump seems okay. Don't know what pressure should really be but it does pump fuel. What could be the issue?

My early DS had a REALLY small fuel filter very close to the carb. (due to it's location it was quite hard to see).
This was the second one in line, and when I pulled it an tried to blow through it the darned thing I learned that it was nearly plugged up.
Replaced it with a different one and all my starting/running problems vanished!

Make sure your choke is hooked up and working.

I'll check for that tomorrow. Thanks for your input.
