My mistake, the driver's side battery is in parallel with the center battery, so it a 36V pack with fourth battery in parallel with the third battery in the three battery series chain.

Weird setup, to say the least.

Hello All, thanks again for the help. I was finally able to do some testing with a meter. I had taken the cart to a local small engine/golf cart place to check it out as well, he wasn't sure himself on this and put a new standard solenoid in, and went through all the cables to make sure the connections were clean, etc. It didn't make a difference. I picked the cart up, I know he tested some so wasn't a full charge, I'm going to test again after a full charge, but this is what I got for results. Based on what feedback/advice I've received, these seems to point to good batteries (especially since I know it wasn't true full charge), right?

Before throttle = 36.8-37V
Full throttle from stop = dropped to 31V+ and started climbing
After running 3/4 to a full block at full throttle = climbed to 34.5-35V+ depending on how level
Under load trying to climb into trailer (cart stopped as reported before) = 33.5V

Your thought?

These look like marine batteries? Can you identify the battery model #?
Seems the fully charged test is starting at 65% charged. That's not a good sign.
What charger are you using?

The picture posted was the setup prior to show JonnnieB what I was describing as 4 12v setup. The cart now has 6 6v Trojan T-105 and using a Power Wise charger.

Maybe they did this for increased amp capacity for the winch/plow?

Are you using the winch setup?
If so how are you connecting it?
Winches can take a lot of current demand.

The cart came with a winch and plow on it, I took the plow off and not using the winch while trying to figure this out.

So now that you have golf cart batteries and a golf cart charger it is time to assess the charger performance. Every cart should have a digital LED voltmeter in the dash but, a handheld multi meter will do for testing.

The charger should bring the pack to 45-46 volts before automatically shutting off. Can you confirm?
The pack should read 38v 12 hours AFTER the charger has shut off. What is your reading
