You could just use an old deactivated smartphone like I do and download from the android store DigiHud that will give you a cool speedometer look... All you need is the GPS signal on and wifi to download the app..

i just used a bicycle speedo. cheap, pretty easy to install. most are waterproof. also, doesnt look fancy enough for loosers to want to steal it. does the job for me.
