I put my finger under the F/R Switch so I could feel the stops. I worked the F/R lever from Forward to reverse and it is making contact with the stops in both directions.

Can you push the car as easily in reverse as you can in forward?

looks pretty good, the one lug has a little color on it and it is a little shorter, the part I can figure is, that you said you switched the cables on the F/R switch, from forward to reverse, and then it did it in forward and NOT in reverse, and when you switched them back it did it in reverse, WTH

I am having a hard time figuring it out. As you can see I only have 268 posts on BGW. That is all of my expierience with golf carts. All of which I have learned from BGW and its great members. Is there a way that I can bypass the F/R switch safely to test whether it has anything to do with it. Just an idea I had. I would like a little more info from some of the pros befor I try it though.

Sorry just now see the pics. Why is that one stud so much shorter than the rest, surely can be just from that one little red wire terminal? Show me a pic of the controller wiring? You should have nothing connected to pin #4. I gotta go delivery & pickup.... back later on.

That stud is shorter due the brute strength in my left hand. I accidentally over tightened the nut and the copper bolt twisted off. It is still long enough to get the nut on with a lock washer and I have never had any issues with it becoming loose. If you think this is a problem I can replace it if there are replacement studs/contacts. I will get the pictures of the contoller and wiring.

Thanks,
David J.

When I got the cart it did not work.I had to completly rewire everything because rats ate all of the wires. ScottyB helped me with a wiring diagram. I figured by changing all of the electrical components it would run. While I was doing this I figured why not go 48 volts. So I changed the controller, solenoid, F/R switch. Since the cart was complete and running it has shuttered in reverse (depending on the wire configuration on the F/R switch). It is not a new problem. I am finally fed up with and and motivated to get this bug fixed.
