Yanaha
New to this fourm. I have owned several Yanaha motorcycles. Looking to get a gas golf cart. Is Yamaha the best gas cart? Be honest
Thanks HDHP |

Re: Yanaha
I think it is, IMHO, they are a better suspended cart with coils on all corners.
They are quieter than the other two with CC being second and Ezgo last and loudest. Parts are more expensive but if maintained properly they will last a long time. This is my wifes G2, 24ish years old and never had the head off. Tell my mom to call, she never calls anymore. |

Re: Yamaha
Well, I just bought a 1985 G1 AM5 for a project cart for myself, and I bought a 1987 3 wheel Columbia ParCar for the kids in June that we just got running well. The Columbia is quiet enough with the occasional backfire. (Nowhere near as bad as it was before getting the carb welded.)
It comes down to personal preference as usual. I do think the Yamaha models have more ability for modification than the EZGOs and Club Cars of similar eras in the past, but that is based purely on visual inspection, not tearing one apart. I do think you'd be very happy with a Yamaha. |

Re: Yanaha
Yamaha has my vote! Seems like a lot less parts on my Yamaha, than on the other 2. Means each part is doing its job, and not backed up with another one.
I haven't touched my Yamaha with a wench, in almost 2 yrs. and over 2500 mi. cept for maint. I drive it around 8mi. every day. Wish the dang thing would break, so I could do something to it! Mom just called me last week! |

Thanks for the feedback guys I did not know that the Yamaha had coil springs. Wow you learn something every day! I think the Yamaha is the way I am going to go.
