controller or resistor
How do I tell if my 1989 Marathon has a controller, or resistor? Anybody got a pic of both so I can compare it to what I have?

This is a resistor cart. In this case a 1991 but an '89 should be similar if not identical. The resistors are in the box with 4 wires going to it between the batteries.
