Now that I have pulled the trailer with no problems, I wonder just how fast I could get this thing to go
I just want to make sure that I dont increase speed and loose torque with any upgrades. I may just want to do durability upgrades.
Hi DK, as we all know, "The best laid plans of mice and men......."
I bought a cart just to get around the neighborhood, milk & bread runs to a near-by store and roaming through a near-by park taking wildlife pictures.
Lo and behold, I was transported back in time over fifty years to when I got my first car (a '54 a Ford) and dreams of power and speed manifested themselves in my mind.
Fortunately, what little sanity I have left returned and my upgrades will be more or less limited to safety, reliability and effeciency on an as needed basis.
Basically, I decided that about 15mph is fast enough, I've got enough torque to climb every hill between here and my favorite shooting range and the cart already looks better than me.

As for the quoted area highlighted in Blue:
The reason the same question was asked multiple times, is because "TXT" describes the body style rather than the drive train.
I have a TXT (PDS), you have a TXT (Series) and others have a TXT (DCS), but we all have TXTs.
I'm not sure, but there might be more variants of the TXT than the three I listed. (IE: TXT (Series) with Pot Box throttle or ITS throttle ???)

For clarity when asking questions, I describe my cart as a 2008 TXT (PDS) so anyone who might have an answer will know it has a Sepex motor and F/R is done within the controller.

AHH HA! you have explained this very well. Thanks. I think this was explained to me once before just not as in detail, but now I think I am catching on.
Series TXT. great!
Between the reading here, and what all info I got while shopping my head was swimming. I do remember the guy at the dealer having two carts side by side for the same price out the door and one was 07-PDS and mine 08-"Series" TXT. He pointed to mine and said this one is better if you want to pull "It sorta JUMPS when you push the gas pedal" "the other cart can be made to go faster easily, but it is not really made to pull alot."

Thanks for the clarification
