01 txt don't go.
I get no click from the soleniod, so I started going through the ezgo diagnostics from the "sticky" section. I got to this:
ITS - INDUCTIVE THROTTLE SENSOR With the key switch ON - Forward direction selected - Push the Accelerator pedal just enough to activate the solenoid. Install a "jumper wire" between the batteries BL+ post and the solenoid post with red wires attached. The soleniod clicked and the buggie moved . Now what? I did: AT THE SIX PIN CONNECTOR OF THE CONTROLLER Place the (+) probe on the red wire terminal of the connector. If battery voltage is not present, the red wire between the solenoid and the six pin connector is faulty. Place the (+) probe on the black wire terminal of the connector. The reading should be slightly above 14 volts but than 15 volts. If the voltage is not correct, the Throttle Sensor MAY be faulty. And got the correct readings. This part lost me: Separate the 6 pin connector (only 4 are used) between the pedal box and the controller that's located on the passenger's side of the battery compartment. If the voltage goes to 14 volts, the sensor is faulty. If the voltage remains below 14 volts, the controller is faulty. If the buggie moves with the wire jumper installed, where is my issue? |

Just to clarify where did you place the jumper wire?

From the positive on the battery pack to the little post on the solenoid with the red wire.

Re: 01 txt don't go.
Do you still have the reed switch installed in your charger port?

Re: 01 txt don't go.
I don't think so. There is only 2 wires coming out of the charger port. Black and white.

Re: 01 txt don't go.
It sounds like your solenoid is not getting power, without the jumper wire your cart is dead correct? I see you have upgraded your cart, did you do the upgrade?

Re: 01 txt don't go.
This is a different cart from the one in my signature.
Without the jumper the cart is dead. Solenoid doesn't click. Nothing. |

Re: 01 txt don't go.
The condition you explain sounds like a reed switch problem, but I could be wrong. The first pic is with the charger port open and reed switch installed, the second one show with the yellow line with the reed switch bypassed, or jumped. Is there no third wire in your setup coming from the charger port?

Re: 01 txt don't go.
it is a txt.
Also there third wire coming from the charger port. There is a red wire running from the battery pack positive to the FnR switch. I think that is bypassing the reed switch??? but not sure. |
