Scotty,I just bought the switch from you and you called the cart an ANTIQUE,I agree. You sent me a diadram for a 1984 cart even though this one is older. This cart had no micro-switches so I did not wire them. Please tell me what info you need to help me. Thanks,Kenny

I need a diagram to work from.
You didn't even have the F&R installed if I recall?
Is that right?
We have no diagram, no example?
Pick the closest diagram you can find and wire it like that? They were all series carts, it should work if you get it right...

I bought a H/D switch from you and it arrived yesterday,I installed it today but when I shift into F or R there is sparks from the contacts of the switch. I wired it with the diagram you sent me. Is it possible I have a short somewhere? This is about the same symptoms the owner had but he kept driving the cart until the old switch BURNED up.

You are switching directions with live contacts in the F/R switch and wonder why you're getting sparks???????????

HINT: The purpose of MS-2 is to disconnect the battery (IE: Deactivate solenoid) when switching cart's direction of travel so there won't be any sparks.

Wire your cart according to the wiring diagram you have and the F/R switch won't spark.
Note: You'll have to adjust MS-2 so the solenoid does not energize until movable contacts in the F/R switch are touching stationary contacts, or you'll still get sparks.

Also, you need to wire in MS-3 so the solenoid isn't activated until accelerator pedal is depressed. It is currently activated by the Key switch alone.

Thanks,I have wired MS2 & MS4 and now NO SPARKS. There is no MS3 and no signs that there has been one? The cart moves without the acc which would be controled by MS3? How did this thing work before without any MS?
