I just ordered one as well! I've been looking for this spring for a long time and was told that it was a discontinued part. I do have some concern though..... Their website also says that the G1 rear body is available for $395. To my knowlege this part is also discontinued. I sure hope the spring shows up on my door step. Thanks guys!

A spacer will raise engagement anyway, though I bet those springs are pretty tired by now.

Don't ever pull on the sheaves of any clutch, they will break right off.

Part # 90501-32557-00........ HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED!!! I called Gilbert golf cars today because I had concern that this was not available.(After I had already ordered it online through them). I talked to the parts guy who called yamaha and verified this. Their website is not up to date on discontinued parts. They have multiple discontinued G1 parts for sale on their site. Oh well nothing gained and nothing lost.

I am having the same problem. It started when i put the spring and clutch plate on the rear clutch. I dont think the clutch on the motor went bad at the same time. please let us know if you fix yours.

Thanks

my thoughts are if some out there has access to a spring for a g1 not installed that can take some detailed specks that we can take to a spring manufacture for suggestions that may find a way around this problem. I found a link on how spring are made an describes how springs are described by the manufacture.

such things like wire size , number of coils ,spacing in coils, act... if we can get this I thing we could contact some manufactures.
