Default Clicking noise

Happens when the cart is running. No issues, runs great, new batteries, fully charged. It sounds like it is coming from the batteries or the motor.

Everything looks good under there.

Any ideas? I want to fix it before it breaks down.

One man's click is another man's clunk but I have had what I would call a "clicking" in the rear of the cart on occasion. Try loosening and re-tightening the rear lug nuts in an X pattern.

Will do kernal....

Re-packed the front bearings. Tightened lugs all the way around, and it still making the noise. Sounds like it is coming from the rear wheels.

Going to park it until I can pick up a couple more jack stands. I am going to change the diff. fluid, and check out the brakes.

Well got it up this morning and changed the diff oil with a pump. It was low and needed it.

Put it back down, ran around the block and it is still clicking.

Got back took the rear wheels off, then realized I didn't have the tools needed to inspect the brakes. So I put it back together and made sure the lugs were very snug per Kernal.

It still makes the noise. After listening closely, I think it is coming from the motor. It still runs strong and stops on a dime, so I might just live with the clicking. I will try to make a video today so you guys can hear it.

Do a search on "spline bumper" in the electric EZGO sub-forum.

Here's the video, you hear it @ the 0:36 mark.

Hope it's clear enough for someone to make out. I don't want to throw parts at something that doesn't need them.

Can't figure out how to embed

Check the nut on the axle that holds the brake hub on, it should be torqued to 125 - 150 lbs they might be loose, could be a wheel bearing going bad.

Ok, thanks guys. Might take it to the local shop and see what they say. I would need to rent an impact and torque to do anything else by myself.

Bumping this again. Dropping the differential pan to change the oil the right way, and I was able to get the castle nut off with a breaker bar. I am a newb at this, so hopefully someone can lead me here.

This is where I am at:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

What do I need to do while I am here? My brakes are working fine, so I don't think they need adjusting.

Going to put the pan back on, so I hope someone sees this before I put the wheel back on. I bought a torque wrench too.
