It depends on the applicator but generally rhino is about 1/4" or 250 mils whereas line-x uses multiple passes to get1/8" or 125 mils. Theese numbers are on truck beds. The multiple passes of the line-x is what will allow it to be put on thin. 2 passes without texture will be less than 1/16" and plenty of protection. Rhino would be unable to do this.

Again, this is for a '98 TXT. It appears I have 1/4" front to back (smaller of the two dimensions) and 1/8" side to side.
