Default yamaha g2 fuel filter

Any reason why you shouldn't delete the filter element at the bottom of the tank and install an inline filter like you would see on a lawn mower?

I have not done it, but it has been done and has been recommended. I am sure someone will reply that has done it.

thanks for the reply. I just think it would be much nicer to be able to change out the filter once in a while and do so with ease

I did it and have had no problems. The filter will be easier to change and it's nice to be able to look at the filter to make sure the carb is getting fuel when trouble shooting. Do it don't be afraid.
