Default front steering loose

I tightened up the steering box because it was loose and I thought it was causing the front tires to jump around like the rim is loose. It didn't fix the problem. I'm thinking kingpin bushings or wheel bearings? I've checked for play in the bushings and there is movement when pushing in/out on the top and bottom of the tire. But the amount the tire is jumping around (especially when turning) makes me think it is a bearing....But they seem good. Anybody got a way to isolate one from the other.

Thanks

Did you check your tow-in? Tire pressure? If by chance you hit something and bent the drag link it would cause that senerio.

Ditto on the toe in adjustment. How loose was the steering box? Is it possible it was loose long enough to oval out the mounting holes and now it is not centered? Is your steering wheel still centered?

What part is the drag link? The tie rods don't look bent and the ends are tight. The steering box was fairly loose but it tightened right up. I thad a bent steering knuckle arm but I straightened it and redid the wheel alignment and the steering wheel is straight. I could try the toe in/out. When you drive and especially when you turn you can see the one side tire scuff and bounce around lots. I'm not sure about what mounting holes that could be loose that you are talking about?

Thanks again
