in answer to a pm ... shifting to neutral does nothing, you are just disconnecting the power to the motor , this also apples to rolling backward

Over the years I've considered "adding speed" to my old Regen, but in virtually every case; the mod seemed to involve dis-engaging the Regen feature. That never seemed wise to me. No matter how short the hill, we do go down some steep ones while golfing (especially if your driver tends to wander a bit). Regen braking, even though "mild braking" always seemed like something I wanted to keep - and based on this thread I haven't changed my mind.
Maybe its just a golf thing - if the cart was a neighborhood cruiser & run to the corner store device, that feature would clearly be less beneficial. |
