Default G1 air filter?

I was wondering if I should remove intake tube and put a uni filter on but if I did what jets should I use?

I wouldn't waste your time with this mod. All it will really do is make more noise. The carb is really limited by the size of the venturi. For more speed and power, change the carb to a motorcycle type like a 30mm mikuni.

Well the main reason I was thinking of a uni filter is because the filter cartridge will not come out of the housing and I'm not sure why.

It's not held in there with any fasteners or anything, get yourself a small prybar and try to wiggle it back and forth. If you can't get it out, remove the whole airbox and work on it on a workbench, might be able to get a little more leverage on it.

I pulled it to make more room to get fuel pump out and have been messing with it moving it around prying on it it will not move. I did notice the impression on the bottom in a d shape but it's almost like it's glued in so I set it in the sun for a few hours and it still doesn't want to move. I'm at a loss I don't want to break the housing

Man I don't know what to say. Mine just rattles around inside the housing loosely. I've never heard of this problem, maybe someone did glue it?
