Default Seals or gaskets?

Hi,
I'm a newbie to the cart and computer world, more of a gearhead than a techie. I have 1994 G9 I believe. Planning on doing plowmans performance kit clutch/exhaust combo also 6" lift and tires. Removed gov. last sunday what a difference fun but adjusted pedal back to stock for mama and son for now don't want to blow it up yet. noticed oil on top of motor case by dipstick and fill port. Thinking I need to replace seals or gaskets. would like to get repair manual as I do with everything I own. I think cajunlonewolf? did this on here but I can't find it again. I don't know if i'm posting threading or what on the computer?? lol I love working on anything that burns gas or hauls a## any help would be greatly appreciated. I want to take care of this leak and any other repairs or maintenance. then the performance and lift. possible need motor mounts also think I read someone said to pick up on rear of motor? how much movement should there be? thank you.

Yamaha engines from 1985 to 1995 (J38/JN3 style blocks) had a tendency to "blow" the case gasket between the 2 bolts (just to far apart) were the dipstick is located. The new OEM gasket has "sealant" there. You will most likley need a primary clutch fixed sheave puller to to the job. Good luck with your new toy

Where does one get a primary fixed sheave puller? Also outer part of clutch seams to have play in one of the three mechanisms, looks like a mini oil rig?

Camper, I also removed that sound deading material from the skid plate. I welded 1/4" nuts on the tabs that hold the skid plate on, as well. Now I can remove the skid plate for service or to clean under there.

Check motor mounts (broken rubber) make sure torque cable is in good shape on motor mount under air filter housing.

Ya know, read the G8 Club thread from the beginning. Just scan it, there is a lot of BS to put up with! But there is alot of good info in that thread. Like packing the steering gear with grease. Just a lot of often over looked maintenance. Not to mention, alot of good people. And MY "trade mark"; USE "NEVER SEIZE" on all parts and bolt shanks etc.!!! Maintenance is the key to a good running car!!

Thanks again for all the info! I am a HUGE! fan of never seize myself! My grandfather said if you take something apart put never seize on it before you put it back together! Parts are on order fresh paint on the plastics! Your yellow/chrome inspired me will send pictures when I figure that out ...
