Default G1 primary clutch

Hello everyone, im takeing my primary clutch off to clean it up, the bolt that holds the sheave has a stub sticking up for the lock washer that has a knoch on it, should i bend the washer tag on it to get it off? Or leave it alone, i remember some post was talking about it, thanks.

Yes you have to bend the tab to loosen the bolt. Make sure to put it back on. If the tab breaks, you can make one out of aluminum sheet metal, there's a thread on here about that. Mine broke a long time ago, been running without it. Bolt shouldn't loosen up if you get it torqued on there good.
