Please provide us with a couple of good well lit photos. We don't want to steer you wrong. Some people call rocker arms push rods and vice versa so we want to make sure you get the correct answer.

If it's a rocker arm or a push rod, it should be an easy fix, however, you have to wonder what caused it to break/come loose. Sometimes a worn camshaft will cause the pushrod to fall out which will immediately bend it, and possibly break the rocker arm in the process.

If it's just a broken rocker arm, you'll have to inspect the pushrods to check to see if they are true. Place the pushrods on a glass surface and roll them to see if they roll straight or if they are bent. Sometimes you can't tell by looking at them and need to roll on a truly flat surface.

Oh, I see that you don't have enough posts to put photos on here. Get onto some of the build threads and post some comments, I think you'll need 4 posts?

Most likely, after 13 years of operating the car, no one ever adjusted the valves. Probably one was to loose and the push rod came out of the rocker arm. Like Slonomo said, check the push rod to see if it's bent. There is a "sticky" at the first part of the section on valve adjustment.
