Re: 08 ezgo 36v
Your Big tires?
The rear seat? The off road use? All of the above ? The stock controller is suitable (engineered) for golf... 2 passengers making 300 yd drives on a groomed cart path. Anything more than this requires an upgrade to the components for reliability. |

Re: 08 ezgo 36v
Get at least an Alltrax 400 amp or bigger...Thats way to much weight for a stock controller...with the 400 amp you can still use your same motor and just upgrade the wires to 4 gauge instead of the stock 6 gauge...

Let me know what size tires, how many passengers, what type terrain you drive, anything like that to help calculate the loads. I am assuming stock motor? |

Re: 08 ezgo 36v
Glad we could help.
I don't know why people, especially dealers, think they can increase the load by 2 or 3 times, and think they can get away with using the stock controller. The stock controller was engineered for 2 people making short trips on a cart path. Putting big tires on the carts changes the final gear ratio and adds to the power problem. |
