09 rxv
hey all, i just bought a 09 rxv with brand new batteries in it. ive never rode one before so was wondering, when i am just creeping around the yard on it i here what can be described as something clicking on and off. it doesnt slow down or anything its just a noise. wasent sure if that was normal since it has something on it to put charge in the batteries a little or not. dont here it at full throttle. thanks

Re: 09 rxv
I have a 09 RXV and dont hear any clicking unless I turn on the key, might be solenoid related. If the brake doesn't lock up, may not be. Keep us posted on what you find

Re: 09 rxv
Is the noise happening when you are turning or going straight?

Does it make the same sound when you first press the go pedal. .? Could be the solenoid engaging and disengaging

Re: 09 rxv
There was also a campaign on the 08 and 09 rxv which you were getting a clicking noise and issue was friction disc in rear was slipping had to drain rear and install 25 ounces of 85w140 gear oil and two ounces friction modifier and noise went away

Re: 09 rxv
IMO RXVs are bad about tearing up rear hubs and the front A-arm bushings. Turn the key to off, flip it to Tow just to be safe, jack up the rear and pull on the rear wheels and see if they will move. If not I would still pull the tires and re-torque the hubs to I believe 140 ft lbs. If you still have the noise changing the gear oil can't hurt. Also, I believe the RXV's are just a little bit noisier

Re: 09 rxv
I'm new to the golf cart world and not an expert on anything but 140 lbs seems to be a lot. Wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong tho.
