I just bought a 2000 TXT ezgo electric cart.the man I bought it from told me that it ran when he parked it he the took the batteries out and sold them because he said they were dead and he did not have a charger...so I went and bought 6 new batterys and hooked them up per factory specs. and it will not do anything no forward or reverse or back up buzzer.so what could the problem be

first see if you have pack voltage , then double check wiring , ALL wiring

how do I check for pack voltage? I have a volt meter

ok just checked the voltage and it has 36.7 volts so now what

charge your batteries ... you are just above 50% charge .. this would not effect the movement but needs to be done now
did you double check all wires ?

test the solenoid

Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery. remove all wires, restorer , and diode from solenoid

Connect an volt meter, set on continuity, place on the two large terminal studs. The meter should indicate no continuity, Replace the solenoid if continuity is present.

Using jumper wires attach from main positive and main negative of battery pack to the two small solenoid studs, polarity is not important. You should hear a click as the solenoid engages, and the meter should indicate continuity on the two large terminals. Replace the solenoid if continuity is not present.
if solenoid clicks rapidly solenoid is bad

yes and found a ground wire coming from the front of the cart and hooked it up but still nothing

the charging plug is not hooked up does that have anything to do with my problem

no charging is not part of the movement

My grandson just put in brand new batteries that had full charge and still noting so what now a new speed controller
