Re: Having problems with my 2000 electric golf cart shuttle over heating
Motor is fine on 48 volts. The solenoid needs to be capable of 48 volts. Most standard solenoids are not capable of a range of voltages. NOTE: this is only a factor in the coil - small wires. The larger cables, FNR (unless reversing contactor) motor, etc. don't care about voltage. They only care about current.

Which solenoid is it? The MZJ400 will run on 36-48 volts without a problem

Re: Having problems with my 2000 electric golf cart shuttle over heating
it is the 20523 Solenoid, 36V 4 P, Silver HD, the motor is AMD Series, 36V 6 HP EZGO Speed (R10-4003), the F AND R Switch is the 5799 Ezgo 94 and up, High Output, and the controller is a Curtis, EZGO 36/48 500A Series. I just want to get the right stuff for my cart. I have jacked with Ray Woods at buggies unlimited enough. All he has done is broken promises. Its going on 4 months now without any progress.
