I have a 2000 TXT battery operated cart and need to charge the batterys.my question is this does it matter if the TOW/RUN switch is on TOW or on RUN.does the key have to be off and does the F/R switch need to be in the Forward position or the Reverse position

I answered your question and later thought about my answer and decided it may not be applicable to your situation so I deleted it. But on this forum you can't delete a message only edit. Therefore I edited it down to "nevermind" and that's all you'll ever seen of the original message. I hope this clears that up.

Charge it 'till the charger shuts off, unplug, replug 'till charger shuts off, repeat about 5 times. Dont forget to keep an eye on the water levels (just enough to cover the plates by about 1/4" will do just as good a job as any other level above the plates, with minimal acid mess).

one thing i would add to the great advice that cgtech gave
is after the first charge let sit for a few hours then check each battery
to make sure they all are taking a full charge
