Quiq Charger RXV to TXT
I recently picked up a 48 volt quiq charger with a rxv plug installed on it. Is there a way to change the plug to a txt plug without changing the receptacle on the cart?
Quiq Charger 913-4810-E3B Cart is a 2008 Ez-Go PDS with a D style receptacle Thanks for the help |

Re: Quiq Charger RXV to TXT
The newer 48v txt has the same plug. The rxv charger is not compatible w/ a 36v txt. The QE charger uses a battery temp sensor not present on the older txt, might not work because of this.

That charger can be a little tricky. I usually just start moving wires around until it works. Sometimes you might get a few sparks so rig up a fuse before you do it.

Yeah...I think I will try replacing my receptacle with RXV type, thanks for the feedback. I am not much on watching sparks and smoke fly, unless it's a fireworks show!

Re: Quiq Charger RXV to TXT
Back to the topic. If you have the "yellow & black" delta-q charger, it can be changed to a profile that will be proper for your batteries And ignores the temp sensor. If it is the small "QE", you may be "sparked/boned" (not easily programmable & a turd). Sell the small "QE" charger to get something better (i would not spend my own dollars on any delta-q, but as an OEM product, i use it). i would get a DPI, OR a used, archaic dinosaur Lester ferroresonant that will likely outlive us all (that they sell new for over $1k now, thats what "bulletproof & unrefined" costs?), i know, its unrefined in todays world, not "5-stage profile", but i have a powerful old "green box" one from the 70s that works perfect, with round screw-in fuses that i still use often. The "yellow & black" Quik is actually my current prefered "high frequency" charger, only because i can program it for many applications (it stores up to 10 different charge profiles)., and it is not quite the turd the QE is. For new price, a DPI is where its at (has 4 profiles for different battery types & USA made) . No matter what, skip the $100-200 china specials, they dont last & good luck with service on junkers. Tried the "stanley", not worth the price for 1 years life & not repairable.
