My cart, (in sig), has 215/35/12's on it. No lift. I liked the way they filled the wheel wells. I did have an issue with rubbing, until I replaced the front springs with serviceable, OEM style, new parts.

Can anyone help me understand the tire or wheel size for non lifted carts.

I see on some websites for not lifted cart wheels that are 10, 12, and 14 inch. Does this refer to rim size?

I thought I understood that you could go up to 20 inches on a txt non lifted cart?

The numbers they use on tires seem confusing as well... for example: 205/30-14

Does the 14 mean a tire for a 14 inch rim?

yes, 14 = 14" rim, Not overall tire size. there are many calculators to convert metric tire sizes into inches overall tire height. i'll break it down for you EX: 205/30-14. 205 = 205mm tread width. 30 = sidewall height equals 30% of tread width. 14= 14" rim

A 20" tire is 20 "s tall it doesn't matter if it's on an 8" rim a 10"rim or a 14" rim. All the larger rim does is reduce the tire sidewall height..the larger the rum your getting into what we call low profile tires.

So in this example what is the tire height?

You have to use a conversion calculator . That's a metric size. Not american. But you can do the math. The sidewall is 30% of 205mm so what ever that equals you have to multiply by 2 since you have the bottom of the tire and the top of the tire. Now figure out what those mm are in inches then add the height of the rim.

But just Google tire calculator or metric tire conversion. And just type in the size.
