Question Where is the Run/Tow switch on a EzGo TXT?

Hi I was wondering if someone could tell me where to find the Run/Tow switch on a 2007 EzGo TXT 36v? I've seen pictures of various switches online but cannot locate on cart?

Thank you!
John

Passenger side under the seat. Black cover with toggle switch.

Not all TXT carts will have a R/T switch. Series drive models do not have the switch which is located on the controller environmental cover on PDS and TXT48 models of the same yr. see chart attached

Great thanks, must be a Series as nothing visible. That being the case is there a preferred way to disable the cart? ie disconnect a battery cable or some other wire? Purpose being just to add an extra security step to discourage any joy rides when left parked for a week or two at times.

Thanks again
John

Great chart, but notice slight error. PDS was introduced in 2000 rather than 2001.

Of course the early 2000 PDS carts didn't have the dash mounted F/R rocker switch, so they don't quite match the PDS column.

Yep, that is a series drive.

Put a switch in series with the smaller of the three wires coming out of the charge receptacle and hide it somewhere.
Turning that switch off will keep the controller from powering up.

Added:
Since cart will be unattended for a week or two at a time, giving joyriders time to find hidden switch, use a keyswitch with unique key.

The 2000 PDS is a hermaphrodite and there were few made, so I choose to leave it uncharted.

More of a gynandromorph than a hermaphrodite, but the reasoning for leaving it uncharted is valid.

Reading over the questions. I have a 2000 EZGo text 36v can't find tow switch, does it exist for this year? Any precautions while changing batteries if it doesn't have?

Thanks

Frank, go back up to POST #3 and look at it. it will tell you whether you have a SERIES cart or a SEPEX.....that's the two different drive systems available on your cart. if your cart is a SERIES, then NO you won't have a R/T switch, if its a SEPEX, then you will and as described, typically the switch is on the eco cover of the controller.

as far as charging with or without the switch....it makes no difference. Charge as normal.
