Default 98 ez go dcs motor rebuild

I bought a new controller from carts unlimited. Now Im wondering if anybody has rebuilt a stock moter to one of these carts and how hard is it compare to a starter on a vehicle. also where can you buy the parts.

because of the lack of a armature lathe, a true rebuild is beyond most DIYers. throwing in some new brushes and sanding the commutator is as close as the rookie can get. thats just so-so because the sanding doesnt restore a true round & flat surface for the brushes to run on. also, changing the armature bearing can be easily effed up if not done correectly. a local starter/alternator/motor/generator rebuild shop has the correct stuff to get it done right.
