2012 Clubcar hesitates, please help
I have a 2012 Clubcar with a highspeed motor and a lift kit. Most of the time, it feels fine. If I'm trying to cruise at 10-12 mph, I feel a noticeable hesitation. The warranty repair guy says it's a normal function, the golf cart will slow or accelerate when trying to maintain a certain speed, but I'm not convinced. Can you guys give any input? Anything you can provide would be greatly appreciated, even if it's to say it's normal behavior.

Re: 2012 Clubcar hesitates, please help
I would put the cart in tow mode and pump the go-pedal to the floor and up about 25 to 30 times then switch back to run and see if you have made ANY improvement...if you see any improvement then you know your mocor needs to be replaced.

Re: 2012 Clubcar hesitates, please help
Thanks guys, this is exactly what I need. The repair guys don't seem like they're willing to fix this (they say my foot is moving and causing it), so I need to be able to prove it to them. I will try the tow mode/pump technique. If anyone has any other suggestions for helping me prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt, I would greatly appreciate it!
Also, the Mcor thread is very useful info if I can prove it, so thanks for that! |

Theboss20 - if I do that and see improvement, why will I know the mcor needs to be replaced? It's something I would have to explain to them, so the more detail, the better.
Thanks so much for your help! |

An MCOR changeout is easy. Why don't you just forget the repair shop and do it yourself? That's why we're here.

It's tempting, because with you guys' help I think I could do it. But it would void my warranty. I will make the attempt as my last resort, though.

Re: 2012 Clubcar hesitates, please help
Ok, I tried pumping my accelerator 25 times and it worked. I no longer felt the problem! My questions: why does that work so I can explain it to the warranty guy, and how long does it relieve the issue?
