2001 Ezgo PDS burning when hooking up batteries
I put new batteries in an Ezgo PDS. It made a few beeping noises very quickly. It didn't run. I unhooked batteries. I smelt smoke in the controller area. Now I can't even hook up the positive and negative battery without haveming a. Firework show? What happened and what to do now?

How confident are you that you were connecting the batteries in the proper manner?

100% batteries are hook together. Didn't know if a faulty controller can cauE this

Even check the cables coming from controller. B- going to negative battery . Positive going to Selenoid on battery side.

Did you put the run/tow switch into tow mode before removing the old batteries? and switch to run after the install was complete?
Post some pics of the wires you disconnected and re-connected. Maybe we can see something |

Yes I had on tow. Installed the batteries. When I flip
To run it made a couple of beep noises. But no movement. I unhook batteries. I hook back up and then I switch to run it would have been a massive meltdown but I switch back to tow. |

Sounds like to me you crossed the + & - going to the controller.

I agree - not to poke fun at the OP but everyday people tell me I reconnected everything as it was or exactly as your diagram shows etc, only to find yeah - except for one wire, one diode, or one thing, that the eye missed that is causing a dead short.
