Re: help with ez-go 48 volt
Well your batteries need to be much higher than 5 volts a piece. If you don't first get the battery situation taken care of then we can't really move forward from there. It sounds like that's your issue though. Your voltage is probably too low to turn on the charger too

Re: help with ez-go 48 volt
If you or any friends have a 6 volt or 12 volt charger, you need to charge up one at a time or two at a time, until you have enough for your charger to kick on.
I'm assuming you don't have 8 volt batteries. |

Re: help with ez-go 48 volt
They are 8 volt and I charged each battery up to 5 volts thinking that is enough for charger to start, when I plug cart charger in I get 2 red flashes and the code says battery voltage fault.

Re: help with ez-go 48 volt
You probably need the battery pack around at least 40 volts or more. Do the best you can to get the pack as close to 48v as possible

Re: help with ez-go 48 volt
I'm not familiar with your charger, but if you connect each battery to a 12 volt charger, and get them to 8 volts, I'll bet that would be enough for your charger. Monitor hourly, to make sure you don't over charge them.

Re: help with ez-go 48 volt
It is also very likely the QE charger is dead and that is why the batteries were left to discharge so much.
Add the 12v charger to any pair of 8v and plug the OEM charger in at the same time. The added 12v charger should kick the pack up high enough to signal the charger to come on. |
