2013 RXV accelerator sticking
Well thanks to reading other posts I determined this was the issue with my new cart not moving. I removed the floor, cleaned all the guck out, and lubed up the sliders for the pedal. It still would not completely return as it should and depress the plunger, so I decided to place a zip tie above the end of the spring to give it a little more tension. This works for now; the pedal completely returns on its own, but I am wondering how long the tie will last before it breaks.
Is there another spring missing on this pedal? I see a spot in the pedal arm half way up which looks like a place to put a spring... Or does anyone know why it is so loose? Secondly is it a good idea to block the openings below the floor somehow to prevent crap from flying up through the holes? Or is all of this being deposited from golfers shoes? |

Re: 2013 RXV accelerator sticking
Hi Magnmac,
I am a newbie to all RXV as some will confirm. I have had a load of issues to get done with mine. In my attempt to rebuild my cart, one on the list of fixes to be done was (very common I am told) a weak throttle pedal spring. I have overcome this by sleeving a short 18mm section of hard rubber (thick walled) fuel hose over the tail of the spring where it rests against the casting. So far 100% fix in that the pedal returns fully everytime. I would guess in the long term a new OEM spring is the only long term fix? Hope this helps Regards Mcalan |

Tubing on the spring seems better; then I can put it on both ends of the spring. Thanks guys.

Debris tends to build up in those pedal compartments, it comes in from under the cart and around the pedal holes. It's a good idea to check and clean them occasionally. Bob |
