Or a double pole single throw switch. One side of the switch runs the converter and the other runs the lights. This works well if the only thing you're powering is the lights.

A few years back the local CC dealership here, now gone, used a hitachi motor from an 81 CC and built an onboard compressor for a client. Used a 2.5 hp portable and swapped on the DC motor. Worked really well.

That may work (would have to see the switch you are talking about) but, what I'm saying is this:

The reducer draws current the whole time it is energized. Put a switch somewhere under the seat, out of the way, near the reducer (fuse it if you want to). This way, the reducer is not putting a drain on your batteries when no accessories are being used. You don't have to flip it on and off each time you use accessories, but you are able to switch it OFF. Especially useful when the cart is not used for extended periods. Use your own judgement based on how you use the cart.

ARB makes air compressors for their air lockers. The twin motor compressor has a 100% duty cycle and can be used to fill up tires or run some air powered tools. I started to do some research on them and with the twin motor compressor it will draw 56 amps at peak output. So they are going to draw some current. The link in my original post for the DC to DC convert is only capable to supply 10 amps.

I was thinking to mount a small air tank in the bag well under the utility bed to go with the air compressor.

I'm at a campground and we own 36 acres, campground only sites on 6 acres. Just thought it would be nice to have something so that if one of the tractors goes down in the field, I can be able to work on it more easily or If a trailer has a flat tire that needs to be moved out of storage or something I have everything on my cart.

That thing appears to be made for use with a truck with a high output alternator. I would not try to run it off an electric golf cart. I think you will find that a portable gas powered compressor will suit your needs much better.

You are likely better off using an auto tire fill compressor to fill a tire or a tank to store air. You can use a water system pressure switch to automatically control the 12V power to the compressor if desired. It won't have the ruggedness or reliability of an ARB, but they are inexpensive and easy to replace when they fail, and they can be powered by a 12V power converter.
