Default New Altrax Controller on a G22 and having Runaway problems

just put a new alltrax xct 400 in a g22 we have here at the shop and after the instalation it is acting weird. when i push the pedal down it has a half second hesitation and then starts acclerating until it is going full speed and doesnt respond the pedal anymore once it starts going. so it doesnt matter if you just touch the throttle or floor it the motor will go full speed and will not turn off until i turn the key off and hit the brake. after you touch the pedal it goes into full runaway mode and just goes full speed on its own. anybody have any idea? do i have a bad controller, or a bad pedal or something else?

Which model controller did you replace? Ge or Moric? Not "it was the stock one" , both were available stock. If it was Moric, it's a easy solution.

Check to see you have the correct throttle programmed. When the controller first powers up it gives a green blink code. That code is listed in the owners manual.

yea the sticker on it says g19-g22 0-5k but i guess i probably need to hook it up to a laptop to see if that is right. ive never needed to on an alltrax before so its all new to me.

Easy fix- Set controller check box "enable high side drive". Same setting by used for all Yamaha drives with Moric controller. But keep throttle set at Yamaha 0-5k. This is your likely problem, if you kept the cables set up as they originally were. You will need the laptop for this.
