So I got everything, rear of cart is lifted on jack stands, removed all screws holding diff cover and I'm having a hard time getting the cover off. Anyone able to suggest some finess techniques to get it off nicely without bending it? It's really on there

I used a paint scraper. Just hit it a few times with my hand, then twisted it slightly, then pressed it into the Permatex. Popped right off.

Is the rear still on jack stands with this method. As it would be tilted forward that way, taking more oil than level ground(or so it seems)

Ezgo documents state 1.2 liters of oil? I bought a quart of synthetic, guess I'm about 8 ounces short?

Where did you see 1.2 liters? My 2005 PDS took 10 oz..

I tilt the cart so the driver's side higher to offset the rear end being elevated.

Your looking at the specs for a RXV or other limited slip differential cart. A 36V PDS cart calls for 10 Oz of oil, but it isn't all that critical. It is more of a minimum than a maximum.

You want the puddle of oil deep enough to keep the bottom of lowermost gear covered while in operation, but high enough to spillover into axle tubes.

My guess is that I run upwards of a pint of gear oil in mine, and my brake shoes stay dry.

When I validate technical manuals, inconsistencies such as the highlighted area above, jump off the page and wave red flags at me.

12 Oz (US) = 0.3548824 liters while 1.2 Liters = 40.57683 Oz (US)

Also the manual linked to is for a TXT-48V, 2014 and later.

Hello,
This is my first post here, but wanted to share with all the P/N of what I used for a suitable O-ring for the input shaft on EZGO TXT axles. This is the O-ring that fits in the groove and not in-between the snap ring and bearing.

The ring specs are
I/D: 1-13/16 inch
O/D: 2 Inch
Width: 3/32 inch

I found mine at advance auto for $1.09 and below is the link
https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...1331/3490882-P

If you don't have advance auto near you, Doorman supplies the O-ring as P/N 641331.1
https://www.dormanproducts.com/p-82054-641331.aspx

Additionally I found them on e-bay.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/193622207261

Hope this helps somebody as it took me 3-4 hours or research to figure this out.

To remove cover just use paint scraper/ putty knife to break seal of permeates/ silicone sealant. You won’t bend cover this way.😊
