You can go through the wiring diagram I posted earlier and see if the harnesses match. There should be an led on the controller. Is it reading anything?

It's all wired up and was a working cart less than a year before i got it (supposedly).

Yes, there is a yellow (orange??) LED on the controller that flashes about once every 5 seconds. I found in that online manual where that's supposed to mean that everything is good and no codes.

my pack reads 39.4v fully charged and stabilized...most packs read 38.4v-which is 100%...
0v is not 0%...golf cart batteries cannot be drained too low or damage is done to the batts...your pack is junk-which may be the cause for melted posts syndrome...resistance causes heat which is BAD-we never want hi heat in our system-it is what leads to all kinds of problems...
keep hanging around here and reading-you will learn a ton from people a lot smarter than me...

I don't mean to hijack but how do you get your batteries to hold that much voltage? My brand new T-105's are at 38.5 full and rested.

Bringing back an old thread here that I completely forgot I had made. I got the cart fixed, the motor was shot. I'm actually still running the controller shown earlier in this thread too that has the melted/warped case.

I've been using the cart for a couple of years now with only small issues, but I do feel like the batteries drain really fast. I have a new pack in there now, Continental batteries I believe. The cart is lifted too with bigger tires (nothing crazy, pic attached) which I know would have an affect on run time, I'd have to look later to confirm what size they are. I've also bought a new automatic charger that I keep on it all the time when not in use.

Can this Curtis 1243-4320 be "tuned" or are there other reasonable controllers that may be more efficient? I'm not even sure if modding or changing the controller would help; that's why I'm here for input from people smarter than me. I realize there are many variables such as battery quality/condition, tire size, terrain, etc that would affect run time, but I just feel like this one goes dead pretty fast and with this controller it stops moving I'm guessing when the voltage gets to a certain point.

For what it's worth too, based on another thread I found with the same controller, it appears my cart is a Star. Mine had the round charger plug which apparently is the identifier. Pic of the tag attached and the tag is under the passenger side of the dash.
