2016 E-Z-GO TXT Freedom Tire size

Hi everyone. I recently purchased a completely stock 2016 TXT Freedom from a private seller and have been shopping for tires and wheels. My cart will be driven on smooth paved streets exclusively and the cart gallops/lopes with the stock tires and wheels. They are all four out of round. I believed, and according to everything I've read here, TXT's could take up to 20.5" diameter tires without a lift until I saw this in the FAQs of a major online cart tire store: "EZ-GO Carts without a lift can fit a tire up to 20.5" (this does not apply to 2016 EZGO carts)" Now I'm not sure what I should be shopping for. Does anyone know what specifically is the issue with the 2016 EZ-GOs? I will not be lifting the cart as I have bad hips that need replaced, so I'm looking for a long wearing, true, smooth riding radial street tire and wheel combination that will not rub, etc. without a lift. Thanks in advance for any insight.

If your Freedom has 10" wheels, 205-65x10 will get you what you want. See 2006 in picture.

But aren't 205/65-10s 20.5" in diameter? The online retailer is saying (I think) that 20.5" tires will not work on 2016 TXT's? Apparently they will work on most all other years of EZ-GO like your 2006, but not on 2016s for some reason. I'm asking what that reason is and what is the maximum diameter tire that will fit a 2016 so I know for sure what to shop for.

Why does this not apply to 2016 EZ-GO carts and what is the maximum diameter tire that will fit?

I was shopping 10" wheels to allow for the tallest sidewall tire I could find.

Let's hope one of the EZGO dealers will pipe in with an answer to that. I did not know that any changes were made to the TXT. RXV is taking over EZGO so why would anyone change the TXT. I am guessing some bad info on 2016. Just guessing.

Thanks Spencer. I cranked the steering wheel all the way to the left and right and there could indeed be rubbing issues with the bumper, especially with a couple of larger persons on the seat. I'll send the retailer an email today asking for specifics, but I think you're correct. I'll post the comments that I receive back from the retailer. Thank you very much.
