Greygoose, when you use the passkey, it will reset and lock some of your parameters. So it does no good to change them now. Wait until you use the passkey, then go in and tweak any parameters you want to change. There is no user level manual for setting parameters, and the 1313 handset is limited in what is allowed to be accessed and changed.

There is a reason higher level parameters are not accessible. You can ruin a controller by setting some critical settings and calibrations wrong. You would need a 1314-5502 or higher to access higher level parameters, and those are not available for purchase. You would have to build one, and learn how to use it before you dare to mess with those settings...

OK Bob, I set the freedom mode and now have 19.5mph, what are the parameters that I needs to change to get 25mph. I also ordered the 1314-4402 so I would be able to make any changes that would be beneficial in speed as well as the integrity of the cart and its parts. Can you help me with those? Thank you very much!!!!

When you get the 1314-4402, connect it to a laptop and install the Curtis software, version 4.6.7 on the laptop. Connect to your RXV controller and make sure it communicates. You'll probably need to make an adapter cable to connect your Curtis 1309 USB interface to the 4 pin round E-Z-GO.

You'll need to go to the Programming Curtis Controller thread and there I give all of the information required to build that adapter cable and other cables you will need.

Also, the Curtis 1309 USB interface on a 1314-4402 is OEM access level. You will need to buy and assemble the FTDI programming cable that I describe. I suggest that you read that thread, at least the last 20 pages or so...

That looks like it, but cannot vouch if the connections are correct. Lots of ppl that make these interface adapter cables only connect 3 of the 4 wires. TXD/RXD/GND. The 1309 USB interface needs to see the + 12 to 15V as well to indicate that the controller is powered on. Clone cables, not an issue.
