Default Club Car LSV Insurance total

help: we have a 2010 club car LSV, Villager 2+2. Hurricane Irma caused street legal vehicle to be totaled by insurance company. Ins company wants to give us practically nothing. Subcontractor to the BIG San Antonio based company (where 94% want to 'stay for life') has comp'd this LSV to 5 non-street legal vehicles. We can't get big insurance company to understand difference and make us whole by comp'ing to similar LSV's. Has anyone else experienced similar problems with any ins company? What did you do? thanks. JD

The LSV is not classified as a DOT titled vehicle that is street legal. You're up a creek unless you sue them.

The issue is going to be what type insurance you have.

Contact a local Club Car dealer and get a replacement estimate or an estimate for a 2010 CC LSV and then get 2 more and submit them to your Insurance Company. They do have a legal obligation to give you fair market value for your product. Also contact the State Insurance Commissioner and file a dispute claim with them as that will trigger a notification letter be sent to your Insurance Company.

Hopefully the three (3) estimates will do the trick.....
