Default Burnt controller

Restoring my 94 Medalist 36v, I just discovered a burnt wire on the controller, due to the nut being loose.
Moral of the story is I should have removed the cover to inspect sooner than later.
I still havn't purchased batteries (waiting until Spring) so it might make the decision to upgrade to 48v a little easier.
I have PM'd Scotty for a price for upgrading to 48 or just keeping it at 36 (I would have to purchase a 48v charger as well)
The cart is going to be used for golfing.
Thanks for letting me vent a little...

Still debating on which way to go on my rebuild, What would one expect to pay for a used stock controller or is it a waste of time and money?

I am going with the altrax 500 and 400 amp solenoid plus the heavy duty f&R switch for under 800 bucks

Buy new from ScottyB and be done with it.

Buying used or repaired is a gamble not worth taking.
