Default Lost reverse

I we were using the golf cart yesterday and then all of a sudden reverse just stopped working. no prior indication. Solenoids seems to be working. But honestly I'm not 100% were to put my meter to check for voltage drops. Forward works just fine. A series motor just used reverse polarity for reverse correct? So if forward works, the problem is not the motor? Everything else is less than a year old.

If it's a series drive cart and the solenoid is clicking in reverse it is most likely in the forward and reverse switch or cables.

You can switch the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock cables on the font and if the problem reverses that will confirm a bad fnr switch.

Thanks, I'll try to check out today. I hope it's not a the FNR solenoid. It's less than a year old. I'm not sure what kind of warranty ScottyB puts on those.

Oh it's a reversing contactor? Could be a broken wire on one of the solenoid coil or something. This solenoid don't usually go bad. Scotty will be the best one to help you that. Disregard my earlier post about switching cable.
