Default Club Car Precedent (No lights, horn, dome light)

Hey all,

I just purchased a used 2016 Club Club Precedent 4 seat golf cart for my family from a private owner. I picked it up yesterday and the factory electrical system was in fine working condition (front/rear lights, horn, dome light).

I wanted to paint the roof black, so removed it and simply clipped the wires running to the roof (for the dome light) thinking I'd just reconnect the wires using an electrical connector kit.

Here's my problem....when I clipped the wires, there was a spark and now none of the factory electrical works. No horn, no dome light, no front/tail lights, etc.

The golf cart runs fine.

I was able to locate a 10A fuse underneath the front seat and it's not blown. There is no electrical making its way up to the roof wires (I tested). So that tells me the problem lies somewhere between the batteries and the roof (big process of elimination, I know...)

Does anyone know if there would be any other factory fuses or where else I could look?

Dumb newbie mistake...

Thanks in advance!

If it has the factory 12v reducer there will be a fuse close to the reducer underneath towards the front of the cart. Or at least my 2017 has one there.

Thanks for the reply! There is the voltage reduced with the blue wire and a 10a fuse. Unfortunately, the fuse is in good condition and there’s power there, so we can rule out that fuse.

The fuse I’m talking about is not under the seat. It’s in between the front frame rails right behind the front suspension. In this pic it’s at the top, the silver square is the end of the reducer.

That did the trick!! It's a 20A fuse which was blown....quick replacement and all electrical works. Thanks!

FYI. It’s always a good idea to put it in tow or disconnect the pack negative before touching anything electrical.
