Question Dash advice

I'm installing a new dash and I am wondering if I should keep the old instrument panel and golf ball holder in place or not. It does not interfere with the installation and it sorta block out the bigger hole in this new dash for the steering column. I am moving the fuse holder and buss to a new location (not sure where, yet) so won't need to get back in there.

Is there any reason NOT to keep that panel when installing a dash? Its the 4 cup dash with two equal size "glove box" doors on either side....

I usually remove it to make wiring and adding extra stuff in the future easier. I think the dash will fit with the old piece on if you choose to do it that way. The instructions usually say remove it, so that’s what I’ve done.

Just drill a hole if it’s round or use a rotozip or similar tool if it’s a rectangle. You definitely got the hardest part out of the way already...

Thanks. I’ve done a few more on carts I’ve sold and I’m about to do one on an EzGo. I can’t seem to find any other pictures though...
