Default 99 series cart 36v batteries and 8hp motor

I have another question, someone gave me a 48v used. Curtis controller and told me to try using it to get my cart running. I wondered if the 48v controller will actually work with only 36v batteries and 36v motor?

Probably won’t work. What EzGo do you have? A TXT with ITS throttle? Did the 48v controller also come out of an ITS throttle cart? Controllers are generally not “mix and match.”

What is the model number of the Curtis controller, they make dozens of different models and they have many different operational requirements.

Many, if not most, Curtis controllers that have a 48V rating will operate at 36V, but they are throttle type specific, so if the controller didn't come out of a cart with the same throttle type your 99 series drive cart has, it won't work.

Ok, so now I have another controller my brother got from a coworker, but it's also 40v. I'm going to put a couple pictures here for you guys to see.

That’s a big one at 480 amps. At least it’s ITS throttle. Give it a try.

Can you give me any ideas about where each wire connects? im taking it home today and seeing what I can work out, but I have no idea where to start. im pretty tech savvy and no how to use tools and have everything i need, I have just read so many threads about wiring that I have confused myself I think.

No experience with the Logisystems control but the large terminals are the same on every application. The small wires are for the throttle.
