DS suspension question

Hey All

So I bought an older DS so that my son and I can have some fun decking it out. It doesn't have a serial plate on it, but I know it is an 81-87 due to the 5 solenoids (not for long though, my conversion kit from Scotty B shipped today!)

I am looking at lift kits, and some say 81 and up some say 84 and up. From all that I have read I can't find anything to say they are different. Any of you more experienced cart builders have an answer for me?

I beleive the pre-2003.5 are all the same for the DS line. TahoeDawgZ71 - Revolution Golf Cars can confirm. He is the CC expert with them.

2 diff sizes on DSs, one has plastic dust cover, other size has metal dust cover

Yes, up to 2003 you had SAE with silver metal covers and in 2003.5 they went metric with black plastic covers.
