5th wire on end of motor 2001 TXT PDS?
I have been looking at the motor in my Ezgo and watching videos on replacing the motor. The wire diagrams and videos only seem to refer to the stand 4 wires on the motor. Mine has a 5th wire coming out of the end of the motor and going to the controller. This wire is not removable and I can't seem to find what it is. Can someone please advise before I proceed? Thanks

That is the speed sensor wire harness. There are 3 wires in there and they have a purpose.

thanks for the reply. I wasn't going to do anything silly but I haven't been able to find a wiring diagram that shows where and what for those wires.

Those 3 wires allow the motor to monitor and control motor rpm. But there are only 3 not 5 ?

S1,S2,F1,F2 and the speed sensor wire. 5
