The diagram definitely pictures 3 terminal points. Just not sure if that is correct in regards to date and relevancy.

Me too. There were some other issues with the diagram as well.

I'll keep digging and appreciate all input from all members.

The FNR only needs four terminals to reverse direction, but the resistor carts have two different positives in order to provide reduced voltage/speed in reverse.

If Your FNR does not have five terminals, You will not be able to have the reduce voltage for reverse.

Just ignore the terminal and don't install the cable that goes from the FNR to the +18v battery post and just wire the other four terminals.

Thank you Sergio. So, in this case the 2 bars on the right in the photo above along with the 2 going to the rotating part will work with this FNR?

If I am understanding correctly, facing the FNR in the photo above it would be: Left wire of rotating switch to Resistor Group. Right wire of rotating switch to A1. Top bar on right to S1. Bottom bar on right to pack positive.

Is this correct?

You got it

If You want to have a reduced speed while on reverse, I have an idea on how to create a similar effect but unfortunately it would also have limited torque.

Thank you Sergio. Gonna hook it up. If you hear an explosion north and east of you it's just me.

Pack unhooked for safety now.

Cart takes off WOT in forward or reverse, key on or off, pedal up.

You got some else wired wrong since the current has to travel through all resistor coils it cannot go into full speed.

Make sure the cables going to the Solenoids are in the correct location and not direct on the copper busbar and that the solenoids are not stuck closed.

This diagram has better resolution that the one in the sticky:

Thanks.

And yes, I am working on this after somebody messed with it.
